Le Colibri

To visually interpret this piece, I utilized a shifting mixture greens, yellows, reds, oranges, and purples to mirror the nuances of devotion for a fleeting moment of love emerged from the piece.
"...mirrors human's pursuit of absolute pleasure that it causes ignorance to what happens next."
Le collibri, translating to “the hummingbird,” explores how the burning sense of love that a single fleeting moment of intimacy, one so profound that death would bring peace. The visual interpretation begins with a soft gradient of yellow and green to capture the hummingbird’s, agile, vibrant presence in nature. Then, the piece rapidly transitions into a light blue to evoke the sense of urgency when the bird pursues the crimson hibsiucs fueled by raw desire. Once reaching the climax, it transcends into a vibrant mixture of orange and red to evoke the hummingbird’s fullfillment of the flower’s nectar in that moment of death, transitioning to colors of dark purple and rich maroon to encapsulate my interpretation of profound power love encompasses, that one happily welcomes death upon simply grazing their beloved’s lips.
